Use Etsy to Find Profitable Dropshipping Products

Etsy is a huge marketplace where you can find many unique, hand-crafted items. I can also use Etsy not only as a store but also as a dropshipping product research tool. Although Etsy has a strong policy against mass-manufactured products, this rule has a loophole: they allow print-on-demand products.
Print-on-demand (POD) is a business model in which you design a “blank” product and then place an order from a supplier once a customer orders from you. On Etsy, I will find many ideas on what dropshipping products have a huge demand, particularly in the POD niche.

Etsy Features

  • Product Uniqueness: Etsy is one of the few marketplaces where you can get bright ideas. It is not a place for mass-producing products; I can get inspiration from the items I see here.
  • Categories: Etsy has several product categories that I can browse. The categories allow me to drill down my search based on my niche.
  • Stats: Each product page provides the data I need to determine whether it is a winning product. Some examples are review count, review score, and review comments.

  • I can get real ideas in this marketplace because all items here are unique.
  • I can see the supplier in the listing (if the seller is doing POD).
  • I can dropship Etsy products; just talk to the seller to make arrangements

Use Walmart to Find Winning Dropshipping Products

The last on our list is Walmart, a giant grocery chain that went online and is one of Amazon's biggest competitors. Walmart is not exactly a marketplace like Etsy or Amazon, but many items here can give me ideas of what winning products to dropship.

  • Product Categories: Walmart has it all, so I will understand what items are in demand. Use this knowledge to my advantage to find winning products.
  • Tags: The listing has a tag indicating whether it is a best seller. This tag allows me to easily assess the product’s market strength.

  • Walmart’s primary customers are in the US; I can understand what US customers want.
  • It carries thousands of kinds of products
